Winston Churchill Range
Winston Churchill Range (83C)
The Winston Churchill Range is located at the southern end of Jasper National Park. From the confluence of the Athabasca and Sunwapta Rivers in the north the range is bounded by the two rivers until its southern end at the Snow Dome.
The range honours Sir Winston Churchill who led Britain and its Commonwealth through the dark days of the early 1940Ís and to victory over the Nazis in 1945.
The range contains some of the most rugged and difficult to access areas in the Canadian Rockies.
