Christian Hasler

(1857-1924) Christian Hasler sr. came to Canada in 1899 with Edward Feuz sr.. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway during the summers until 1911, returning to Switzerland each fall. Following the death of his wife in 1918 he returned to Canada and lived with his only son, Christian Hasler jr. in Golden, B.C. He led the first ascent of Mount Assiniboine.
