The President Range lies to the west and south of the Yoho and Little Yoho Valleys north of Yoho Pass and lies to the north of Emerald Lake. It takes its name from the highest peak in the range, The President. Edmund Whymper named The President in honour of the CPR's president, Thomas Shaughnessy.
