Mitchell Range (82J)
The range lies to the east of the Kootenay River and stretches from the Simpson River, southwest to the Cross River.
Capt. William Roland Mitchell was a British Traveller and sportsman who was attached to the Palliser Expedition in 1858 and 1859.
