According to 82J/14, Mount Fortune is merely a minor high point (2340 m) above Spray Reservoir at the end of the long southern ridge of Mount Turbulent. "Place Names of Alberta" by Aphodite Karamitsanis states that its elevation is 2819 metres but this is in error as the location she specifies for the mountain is the location identified on 82J/14. It seems highly unlikely that such a minor high point would have been named in 1922 after a Battle of Jutland Warship. The name (and the location) does not appear on the Interprovincial Boundary Survey maps. Perhaps an error has been made and some other peak should be carrying the name Mount Fortune.
