This minor range lies to the northeast of "Top of the World." Coyote Creek and Galbraith Creek lie to the west, Quinn Creek and Blackfoot Creek flow to the east, White Creek and Whiteswan Lake are tot he north and the southern edge is bounded by the junction of Galbraith and Blackfoot Creeks.
B.T. Van Nostrand was a "sportsman" from New York. His name appears in, "Campfires in the Canadian Rockies" by J.M. Phillips which describes a trip taken in the area in 1905.
