The names Og, Gog, and Magog are all individuals mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible. Both English and Celtic mythology also tells of Gog and Magog who were giants. Lakes in the area of Mount Assiniboine are named after all three, Og, Gog, and Magog, but only Og (Og Mountain) and Magog have mountains named after them as well.
