Arthur Wheeler wrote of this mountain in the Boundary Survey Report, "On the eastern side of Clemenceau Creek is another fine mountain completely clad with ice and snow on its northwest face. This robe of white gives it a spectral appearance and it has been named Ghost Mountain."
