Named for: Farquhar, Lt. Col. F.D. (Lt. Col. Farquhar D.S.O. was the Commander of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. He was killed during WW I.)

Lieut.-Colonel F. D. Farquhar D.S.O. was killed while superintending some trench work on March 20, 1915.
