Located in the upper part of the Lake Louise valley across Lefroy Glacier from the much higher Mount Lefroy, James McArthur in 1897. Prior to 1897 it was referred to as Hazel peak but there is no record of who Hazel was. Its ascent in 1894 by Samuel Allen, L.F. Frissel, and Walter Wilcox was the second in the Lake Louise area. Collier Peak had been climbed 1893.
