Named for: Ramsay, James Andrew Broun, (Tenth Earl of Dalhousie) (James Ramsay was Secretary for War during the Crimean War and the son of the Governor General of Canada.)

James Andrew Broun Ramsay was the Tenth Eaarl of Dalhousie. He became the British Secretary for War during the Crimean Wa and was the son of the Governor General of Canada. James Carnegie (Earl of Southesk), who named the mountain, first started planning his around the world trip at Ramsay's home
