Province: Alberta
Park: Kananaskis
Headwater: Bow
Visible from Highway: 1
Year Named: 1950
Named for: Location/ This curved, tower-like mountain is located in the Wind River Valley.

Windtower Mountain is an intriguing peak. Its name contributes to this as does the curvature of the mountain and the fact that views of it, at least from Highway #1 are limited. The inside of the curve faces towards the northwest and it is difficult to enjoy a view when this aspect of the mountain is not in shadow. *A hiking route to the summit is described in Gillean Daffern's Kananaskis Country Trail Guide.
