Named for: Wheeler wrote, "Owing to the fact of its highly castellated appearance and its close proximity to Mt. King Edward, it was named Warwick Mountain" (after the castle in England).

Arthur Wheeler wrote of this mountain, "Near the head of the (Athabasca) valley a striking castellated peak stands in an isolated position. It has a very prominent tower at its apex" The Interprovincial Boundary Survey Report refers to, "a high, terraced peak standing out prominently in the (Athabasca) valley at the final fork of the river, which has been named Warwick Mountain."
