Named for: Portions of the thick layers of limestone which make up the steep cliffs seen from the upper Cascade valley have vertical fractures which make parts of the mountain appear to be made of giant blocks.

This mountain stands at the head of the upper Cascade River valley to the west of Flint's Park. The massive lower cliffs of the east and north sides seem to have striking vertical fractures which gives the impression that the mountain is made of large building blocks.
