Prairie Mountain is located in the Elbow River Valley, six kilometres south of Moose Mountain and south and west of Canyon Creek. One of the lowest "named" mountains in the area, this smoothly-contoured mountain has a rounded, grass-covered summit (much like a prairie). *A hiking route to the summit is described in Gillean Daffern's Kananaskis Country Trail Guide.
