This gently contoured feature has two summits, the southernmost being the highest. It is currently noted as "Afternoon Peak" on the NTS 1:50,000 map. What is now thought to be Afternoon Peak (as named by Morrison Bridgland) lies 1.6 kilometres south of Oval Peak.
